BEFORE THE SESSION  [ top ]
Appointments are recommended, but we also welcome drop-in visits. On the day of your session, please make sure your child is rested and fed.

Clothes & Props  [ top ]
Your child's clothing should be as simple as possible. Please avoid clothing with patterns, stripes, and logos. Props are kept to a minimum, as the focus is to capture the personality and expressions of your child. If he or she has a favorite toy, please bring it. Props are encouraged to bring smiles.

Illness  [ top ]
If your child is ill, please notify us as soon as possible to reschedule.

Cuts & Scratches  [ top ]
If your child has a minor cut or scratch, it will not mar the photos. We can easily retouch the images at no extra charge.

THE SESSION  [ top ]
The photography session will last from 30 minutes to one hour. Our approach to the photo session is to create relaxed surroundings that make your child feel completely comfortable. The goal is to allow the children to create their own stories. The end result will be portraits that you and your family can cherish for a lifetime.

AFTER THE SESSION  [ top ]
The images will be available for viewing at the studio approximately 20 minutes after the end of the session. You can place your order the same day. If you prefer to view your photos online, we can email you a private link. After you place an order, your photos will be ready for pickup at the studio in one week (while at the studio, don't miss our selection of frames). We can also ship the photos to you; please add $10 for shipping and handling.

Other Services
It's a Party!  [ top ]
Dandelion has a lovely backyard that is a perfect place to host a birthday party, complete with cake and ice cream supplied by us. One of our photographers will photograph the event and we will email you a link with pictures. The website will be available for 90 days; you can purchase photos via the website. The cost of the private party is $350 for 10 participants. Each additional participant is $10. Each party will last two hours.

Location Services  [ top ]
We are primarily a photography studio, but we do occasional work on location. Our availability is limited, so please call well in advance to schedule an appointment.

Portrait Party  [ top ]
A portrait party is a great treat for you and few of your closest friends. A photographer will visit your house and set up a mini studio. You can have six children photographed in the comfort of your own home; each participant will have a 20-minute session with the photographer. The photos will be emailed to all participants within one week; making a purchase is not required. If you are interested in winning a portrait party, please send us an email with "free portrait party" in the subject line and your contact information in the body of the email. The drawing will take place on the first of every month. Portrait parties are only offered through this promotion.

Promotions in Children's Stores  [ top ]
Please look out for our promotions in children's stores throughout the Bay Area. Purchasing merchandise from a participating children's store may qualify your child to receive a free sitting at Dandelion Photography and a free 8x10 photo. The session will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Please see store for details.
