Chris Pendergast, Dandelion Photography's owner and head photographer, was born and raised in Sacramento. After he graduated from UC Davis, he borrowed a camera from his father to take a photography class. The camera quickly became an extension of him, and Chris began taking photographs everywhere, including engagement parties, weddings, and other special events. As weddings gave way to baby announcements, Chris added children to his growing list of subjects. He enjoyed this new focus so much that he made it the heart of his expanding photography business. In 2007 Chris launched Dandelion Photography, a studio dedicated to photographing children.

Located on Union Street west of Fillmore Street in San Francisco's Marina district, Dandelion offers a fresh approach to children's photography. The concept is simple: a hip studio in the Marina where you can get unique photos of your kids. The studio, decorated by interior designers from blankblank, creates a space that is sophisticated yet comfortable for your little ones. We offer a variety of custom-made backgrounds that can only be found here, a backyard for outdoor photos, and an inviting atmosphere that lets your child's personality shine through in photographs.
